See All ReviewsThree years living in North Dakota where there are no Salvadoran restaurants, the first thing I did being back in the Bay Area is get some Salvadoran food. My family told me about El Centro Americano Restaurante which is located in the Monument area in Concord, CA. I ordered the usual Pupusas revueltas and the other one was Chicharrón con queso. Also ordered some empanadas de leche and of course a Horchata Salvadoreña, the restaurant was nice and clean. The atmosphere was great with Salvadoran merengue music playing in the background, the waiter was very polite and took good care of us. Let's get to the elephant in the room, the food.. IT WAS DELICIOUS and very Authentic! Exactly what I always look for when it comes to Salvadoran food!
Most delicious pupusas! Had the beef/cheese and jalapeno/cheese ones. Very friendly staff, clean and nice atmosphere. Can highly recommend.
Sopa de res, Pescado frito, Carne asada Nicaraguence, sooo good! This is our new favorite place now, lots of parking, service is good, you have to be patient ,food is fresh so it takes a lil longer to get served but it is worth it, this place is going to out grow their location fast since food is so good ,prices are less than where we go in San Pablo and the other Salvadorean place in Concord.
